Childhood obesity is an alarming epidemic that's showing no signs of easing up. STOMPS is a self initiated concept designed specifically to combat this problem. Marketing's desire for new trends and buzzwords means 'gameification' has become a bit of a dirty term. However, the fact is, humans are hard wired to enjoy games and the worlds most successful digital businesses employ game mechanics to keep their audience engaged (see Twitter & LinkedIn).
Kids enjoy games the most (their brains haven't been bludgeoned with the responsibility of adulthood). And so, why not use something kids enjoy to help get them moving?
